PINWHEELS ~ HOW TO

Several of you have asked how I made the pinwheels on my scrapbook layout. So, here you go....
1. Cut a 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" square of white cardstock. On one side of the cardstock square, ink the edges of the square and stamp your design. I used Outdoor Denim ink and one of the Close to My Heart background stamps.....they are the perfect size for making these pinwheels. You can see some of the background stamps we carry by clicking here: Blogger is acting dumb and will not let me post a hyperlink, so this link will have to do for now: https://debrapate.myctmh.com/Retail/Search.aspx?SearchValue=background

2. Turn your square over...using a different color...ink the edges and stamp a different design. I used a Polka Dot stamp with Cranberry Ink.

3. Line your ruler up diagonally (from corner to corner) across the square and draw a faint line. Then, do the same thing with the other two corners. You should now have an "X" drawn on your square.4. Cut from the corner along the faint line you drew toward the center, but DO NOT cut all the way to the center. Do this from all 4 corners.

Your square should look like the above photo now.

5. Fold down 1/2 of each flap so that it looks like the picture above. Put glue under each of the folded down flaps (under the red Polka Dot pieces) and press them down and your pinwheel will be made. Now add a brad or button to the center and you are finished! Easy Peasy!!!!!
