I look forward to Autumn every year with the crisp breeze, fall colors, fairs, festivals, candy apples, funnel cakes and Thanksgiving... not to mention my birthday!  I am enjoying crocheting Turkey Hats again this year.  They are always a hit for the season.

 I couldn't resist since I am a big fan of Candy Corn.  This sweet Candy Corn inspired crochet hat is perfect for all the upcoming fall festivities and parties! 

I can make it with a bow for a girl, pom-pom for a boy or girl, or without a bow or pom-pom.

GOBBLE GOBBLE.... Crochet Turkey Hat - Beanie

This crochet Turkey Hat (beanie) is perfect for Thanksgiving photos!  I crocheted the beanie first using a standard beanie pattern.  Then, I made the pieces to be added.  I didn't have a pattern for the feathers, beak, etc., so I just made it up as I went.  I really like how it turned out!  The one pictured is 0-3 months.  Several people had asked me about making themed hats for their babies.  I have sold several already..... $15.00 each.

GIVE THANKS

 

I am soooo excited!  I was asked to be a Guest Designer over at Love To Create Challenges.  The image I chose to use is Scarecrow n Bird from Robyn's Fettish.  The theme for this challenge was "Give Thanks".    The papers, "Give Thanks" stamped sentiment, photo fastener, ribbon and ribbon slide are all Close To My Heart products.  The flower is by Prima.  I used Spectrum Noir Markers to color the image.  Thank you so much for stopping by to see my creation.  I do hope that you will leave me a comment and let me know how you liked it.

THANKSGIVING ~ FALL SCRAPBOOK LAYOUTS

These are the 4 pages I put together for everyone to make at the November Workshop using the  Dreamin' Level 2 Paper Pack, 3 retired stamp sets (Grow With Love, Nature's Vein & Many Thanks), Love Life stamp set and the Harvest Charms embellishments. Everything to make all 4 pages is provided at the workshop. Everyone gets a complete package of the Harvest Charms. All you need to bring is your adhesive and scissors. As always, I have extra adhesive and scissors on hand for you to purchase, if needed. The cost of the workshop is $20 this includes the cost of your kit. You will have extra supplies left over from the workshop that you can use on other projects.

These are the Harvest Charms that everyone will receive in their Nov. workshop kit.  You will get 6 embossed adhesive-backed metal charms: 3 with epoxy, 3 without; approx. 2" × 2" and 1½" x 1¼"; antiqued copper.

A DAY OF THANKS

I made another card using two of the stamps from the Pair-a-Phrase stamp sets.

I used papers from the Elemental paper pack, Sorbet cardstock, and copper Brads from the Brads Metal Assortment.

THANKSGIVING DINNER

These scrapbook pages highlight our Thanksgiving Dinner last year (2008) at my parent's. Four of these layouts are premade from the Level 1 kit and all I did was add sitckers and embellishments. The other five layouts I designed using the remaining papers and stickers from the paper packs and sticker assortment. I could make a LOT more layouts and greeting cards with the papers and stickers that I had left over! I still have the journaling and a few additions to make to some of the layouts, but they are mostly finished.

The leaves on these two layouts were stamped using the Nature's Vein stamp set (D1232). There are 10 stamps in the set.

The title and tag are from the stickers in the Perfect Day Level 1 Kit (X7100A) and the Perfect Day Level 2 My Stickease Assortment (X7100C).

The pumpkins on this layout were stamped with the Give Thanks (D1110) stamp set and the leaves are from Nature's Vein (D1232).  Both of these stamp sets are retiring, so ORDER QUICKLY before they sell out!
