These are the 4 pages I designed and assembled for everyone to make at the August Workshop. Everything to make all 4 pages is provided at the workshop.  All you need to bring is your adhesive and scissors. As always, I have extra adhesive and scissors on hand for you to purchase, if needed. The cost of the workshop is $20 this includes the cost of your kit. You can order a workshop kit for $20 (+ shipping, if you do not live local).



These layouts were made with the Footloose Paper Pack.  I applied Star Dust Glitz Glitter Gel to the sun to give it sparkle.   

The waves were stamped using a Paisly image from the PAISLY PRAISE stamp set. The flowers were stamped with the A BLOSSOM stamp set.

The Umbrella & flip-flops were stamped using the Just Chillin stamp set.  Yellow floss was stitched onto the flip flops.

The banner was made using the PENNANT ALPHABET stamp set and Bakers Twine Paradise Assortment.  Flowers stamped using: A BLOSSOM stamp set

I made the Star Fish using a star from the COFFEE STAIN stamp set.

The waves were stamped using the LOVE LIFE stamp set.  Sun & Umbrellas: JUST CHILLIN stamp set

ROAD TRIP

These are the 4 pages I designed and assembled for everyone to make at the July Workshop. Everything to make all 4 pages is provided at the workshop. Everyone gets a complete package of the "Bottle Caps" (8 metal bottle caps). All you need to bring is your adhesive and scissors. As always, I have extra adhesive and scissors on hand for you to purchase, if needed. The cost of the workshop is $20 this includes the cost of your kit. I used Crusin Paper Pack by Close to My Heart to make these layouts.  I cut the highway sign with my Pazzles Inspiration Creative Cutting machine.

 

I love these bottle caps!  The car was stamped with the Crusin Workshop on the Go stamp set. 

I will add a seperate blog post with a tutorial on how I stamped the car in two colors.

The sentiment "A Road Trip to Remember," the gas pump, and the "Having a Great Time" sign are all stamped with the Cruisin Workshop on the Go stamp set.  The post card that is tucked behind the photo mat and the two sentiments at the bottom of the layout (pictured above) were stamped with a retired stamp set called Vintage Post Card.



I thought the above layout was a little busy looking, but my 27 year old son said it is his favorite of the four pages.

 

The camera is raised off the page using 3D Foam Tape.  The camera and film were stamped using the "Picture Perfect" stamp set.  I used a new stamp set with a camera and film called "Take a Picture."

The pennants (pictured above) were stamped with the "Vintage Type" stamp set.

Last of all, the United States map was stamped using the Adventure USA stamp set.

The highway sign next to the photo mat was stamped using the Cruisin Workshop On the Go stamp set. 

Stamp Pads/Ink Colors used: Cranberry, Black, Honey, Juniper

I GOT A SURPRISE TODAY!!!!

I got an unexpected package in the mail from Close to My heart today.  I received this beautiful sterling silver charm featuring a "heart key" from Close to my Heart as a gift of appreciation for my 5 year anniversary with Close to my Heart!  I have had the most fun with scrapbooking, card making, paper crafting, and teaching others how to scrapbook, since my introduction to Close To My Heart five years ago.  The greatest thing about being a Close to my Heart Consultant these past five years is that the money I make pays for all of my personal scrapbooking supplies and more!  Before I became a consultant I spent quite a lot of money on scrapbooking supplies, but after becoming a consultant I no longer have that out-of-pocket expense!  It has been an amazing five years.  THANK YOU Close to my Heart!

RED WHITE & BLUE

Hi everybody!!!  Thank you for stopping by.  If you like what you see and you could leave some love with a few comments it would be gratefully appreciated.

Nothing says summer like the 4th of JuIy!!!! I made this card in Red, White & Blue in honor of celebrating our countries Independence on the 4th of July in the United States of America.  

As you know, I LOVE cupcakes, so I could not resist using the "Sugar n' Spice Marci" stamp. I colored her with colored pencils. Can you see her itty bittie teenie weenie pearl earrings? They may not show so well in this photo, but they look simply gorgeous on Marci!

How did you celebrate the 4th?  Our family always gets together for a feast, which of course includes BBQ, and our own fireworks show!!!  The whole subdivision would come out to watch our fireworks.  This year I was not able to be with my family due to health issues, but they brought lots of food back for me!  Now, wasn't that sweet of them to be so thoughtful?!

SWEET THING

The stamp I used is "Sweet Thing." I used two different types of cardstock to color on, so that I could compare which type of carstock I like coloring on best, using Noir markers.  The image above was colored using Close To My Heart cardstock and it did best out of the two cardstocks I tried.  I plan to test more cardstock soon.

I colored the cupcake icing a darker color on this image than I did on the first image.  You can see that the marker bled on this image, whereas it did not on the first image that I colored using the Close To My Heart cardstock.
