MY CREATIONS CUBE

This is the first "My Creations Cube" I have ever decorated, but it want be my last! I love how it turned out. You can purchase your own cube to decorate for $4.95 on my website and don't forget that you will get a FREE $22.95 stamp set with a purchase of only $20 on my site during December! The photos on the cube are of my son and daughter-in-law when they were dating.

I added pink lace to the edge of the photo pocket.

I traced the shape of the hearts from a stamp from the "Love Language" stamp set onto Blush cardstock, then cut them out. I sanded the edges of the hearts.

I used a stamp from the "Adorable Backgrounds" stamp set and Chocolate stamp pad for the swirl print on the light pink paper. Adorable Backgrounds is one of my favorite and most used stamps. You can see the entire stamp set here: Adorable Backgrounds

I used the Versa Mark ink pad to stamp the butterfly onto "Blush" cardstock and embossed it with the Cocoa Embossing Powder.

The felt heart on the inside of the box is from the Whimsy HeartFelt Die-Cuts. You get three 12"x12" sheets of die-cuts in the set. Each sheet is a different color. These were $9.95, but you can get them on my website while supplies last for $5.95 here: Whimsy Die-Cuts

HOW TO USE YOUR OLD CHRISTMAS CARDS

Do you hate to throw away all of those beautiful cards that your family and friends send you for Christmas? I have always kept mine! I started running out of space to store them, after many years. So, I made this album several years ago using 3 white paper bags. I decorated the pages with old Christmas cards from family and friends.

This shows a pocket formed from the opening of the bag. You can add photos, journaling mats and keepsakes to the three pockets in the album.

The word "JOY" is added to this frame using Gold Glitter Glue. The top of the frame was left open to add a photo. The circle and swirl were cut from Christmas cards with punches. On the page to the right, I added part of a card to form a pocket for the tags.

These Christmas tree lights were cut out of a patterned gift box. I drew them on the backside of the box, cut them out and added sequins.

The purple frame was left open at the top to add a photo.

This was torn away from an envelope that one of the cards came in and then the edges were inked with red ink,

Please leave a comment on this post, if you liked my Christmas Card Album Idea, letting me know that you liked it. Thank for looking and don't throw those cards away!!!!

SOME OF MY FAVORITE THINGS

I found this cupcake Christmas Tree Ornament at Wal-Mart for $2.00. I love cupcakes and my favorite color is pink! So, How could I resist? Can you believe I wanted my bedroom furniture painted this shade of pink when I was a little girl? and my mom did it!!!!! Only the love of a mother!

Something else I love is antiques, beautiful china, teapots, teacups, and cupcakes. I found this beautiful antique tray when I was on vacation this summer. The dessert plate is from one of my china sets, "Old Country Roses." The yummy cupcake my husband bought me and is was so delicious. I enjoyed every bite.

Then, there is my love for scrapbooking, stamping and paper crafting!!! Are you surprised that I made a cupcake card!!!! This card is on an older post and has all the details about what products I used, etc.

I think all artist and crafters find a way to incorporate the things they love into their designs!

ANYONE WANT TO DO A SUPER EASY SWAP??? ~ STAMPED IMAGE TAG SWAP

SIGN-UPS FOR THIS SWAP WILL CLOSE WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 4th at MIDNIGHT!!!

These are a few examples of my Stamped Image Tags. I used one stamp for the two on the far right with watches on them. The other four have two stamps used on them.

This is an example of what you could do with the tags. I stamped the three images and then antiqued it with Acrylic paints. You can read more about it in the following post.
This is an example of a tag purchased from an office supply store. They are really inexpensive.

TO SIGN UP FOR THIS SWAP:
1. Leave a comment on this post saying you want to join the swap.
2. Send me an e-mail debra_pate@yahoo.com with your real name, user name, and mailing address that your images will be mailed back to you.
3. Read ALL of the rules!

RULES:
Sign up as directed above.

Tags MUST BE at least 2 1/2" x 4 3/4" ( two and one half inches by four and three fourths inches. You can use larger tags than this, but NOT smaller. You can purchase packages of tags at your local office supply. If you make your own tags, they must have straight edges and be well cut with a paper trimmer, using white or off white color scrapbooking cardstock. NO hand cutting with scissors.

You will need to use StazOn Black ink. This is a permanent ink that will not run when adding mists, water, or coloring with markers on your tags. This will allow for any type of technique the recipient may want to use on the tag.

NO Scraps or Poorly Stamped Images! It would hurt my feelings to have to do this, but I will return poorly stamped images to the person that stamped them. If you need help on how to get clear stamped images, let me know and I will try to help you.

Stamp 10 images on 10 tags. You may use more than one image on a tag as I have done in some of the examples I have shown, but you want them to look good together.

You can use stamps from any company.

Please, write the name of the stamp and stamp company on a separate piece of paper, so that I can post it. Do not write on the back of the stamped image tags. This could bleed through when coloring, etc. and we don't want that.

Place all of your images in one ziplock bag together (to protect them from rain, etc.) and mail them to me along with a SELF-ADDRESSED ENVELOPE with POSTAGE STAMPS to mail your swapped tags back to you.

If you would like to do more than 1 set of 10 tags....You may do 2 sets of 10 tags, but not more than that. You will need 20 tags and two different stamps....one stamp to use for each set of 10 tags.

Get your Stamped Image Tags to me NO LATER THAN Wed. November 10th. This gives you two weeks to stamp your images and get them to me. I will have them swapped and mailed out to you immediately!

I will send yo my mailing address and a copy of these swap rules when you sign up.

Easy Enough? Hurry and Sign up now and let the fun begin!!!!!

AUTUMN Hive Creative Challenge

If you like this tag, you might want to join my Stamped Image Tag Swap. I will be posting it soon on my blog. Join as a follower to be sure not to miss the details when I post them.

I made this tag with the Autumn Season in mind as my inspiration. The three images were stamped using a retired Close To My Heart stamp set with VersaMark and then embossed with the CTMH Black Embossing Powder. I used Acrylic paints in colors that reminded me of the autumn season and to give my tag an antiqued look. I glued my tag to a printed piece of cardstock that I cut in the tag shape. Then, I attached an eyelet and added the ribbon. I added a Prima flower to the handle of the purse and glued a rhinestone in the center of the flower.

GIFT CARD HOLDER

I made this for the Gift Card Holder Challenge. The Paper for this gift card holder is from a retired pack of Close To My Heart paper. The beautiful button brad embellishment is a Creative Charms Brad in White from Cindy's. I used Double-sided removable tape to attach the gift card so that once the gift card is removed the card holder can be used to add a couple of Christmas photos. I am thinking about moving the gift card to the inside bottom flap and adding a family photo or greeting where the gift card is currently placed.

SPARKLING CHALLENGE

The Magnolia Lovers challenge for this card was to add sparkle. It does not show very well in the photo, but this card is full of sparkle! The hair has sparkling highlights, the wings and dress are completely sparkling, and the shoes and cookie tray sparkle too! I used Close To My Heart Markers to color the image, then added the sparkle with atyouSpica markers and stickles.
