HOME SWEET HOME - DIY Door Hanger - Wall Hanger

"The Crafting Queen" aka my mom has really done a great job with this one, but of course I think that about every new thing she makes.  Is this not gorgeous? I love it! This is my new favorite! Once again she used a PIZZA PAN as the base of her Wreath.  This can be used as a door hanger or wall hanging. The great thing is that it fits all decorating styles. MY THOMAS KINKADE CHRISTMAS TREE

I have always had a HUGE tree, but this year I used this pre-decorated Thomas Kinkade tree!

I MADE A SNOWMAN

I love when it snows! Maybe, I wouldn't love ti so much, if I lived somewhere that it snowed all the time. I had so much fun making this snowman. It's not made with snow, but it's still a snowman! Thanks for looking!

I painted the clay pot blue and painted snowflakes. I added a coat of clear varnish with glitter.

I love the snow made from frosted glass on the greenery!

CREATING FASHIONISTA DECOR

This was my newest decorating project and I am thrilled with how it turned out. I have been working on updating the guest bath. The jumping off point for color choices was the sink....a pale green colored marble sink. The walls were old 80's wall paper board (in mauve and country blue) like you see in modular homes, which I painted white. The vanity and mirror frames were pine with a light stain, which I sanded and stained a dark cherry. The light fixture was a cheap ($6-7) dressing room type fixture with three bulbs. I replaced it with an updated nickel finished fixture, added a green shower curtain and towels, and a leaf print rug in front of the tub. It is all coming togther. I was in desperate need of some art work, but could not find what I wanted. So, I decided to make my own.....Hope you like it as much as I do!!!! I especially like the red pop of color. They are now hanging over the towel bar, next to the tub. I made them by cutting scrapbook paper to the desired size, then a wonderful man in our church cut the wood for me. I glued the scrapbook paper to the wood squares and let it dry overnight. Then, I painted the edges and sides. After the paint dried, I sealed it with a matte finished clear coat.
